SCIENCE 

-Flight Unit --- space craft versus aircraft

MATH - coordinates and design --- transformations in succession

Grade 7s 

SCIENCE - Planet Earth -- sudden changes, earthquakes and volcanoes, rock cycle

Build --- in the near future we will begin the process of designing and building a structure that can withstand the force of a load on it and the movement forces of an earthquake. (combining with Earth's Surface unit)

MATH 

Statistics - mean, mode and median, range and outliers

SCIENCE 

-Flight Unit --- finishing up parachute lab this week and will learn the parts of an airplane and their function

SCIENCE - Planet Earth -- layers of Earth, how Earth changes suddenly and over time

Build --- in the near future we will begin the process of designing and building a structure that can withstand the force of a load on it and the movement forces of an earthquake. (combining with Earth's Surface unit)

-Integers - adding and subtracting using counters and a number line

-Flight Unit --- lots of labs, manipulated variables, bring supplies to build a parachute to test  (plastic bags, paper, fabric, thread, yarn, string) and a small weighted object (1"x1"x 1")

MATH - improper and mixed fraction fraction check-in done today, ratios start on Tuesday (what are they and can you identify them) and percents up next

Grade 7s 

SCIENCE - Structural materials and joints, quiz this week on Topics 1 and 2.
